Non-residents wishing to buy property at the Quad Business Towers will not require a permit, as the Mrieħel site has been made a ‘designated special area’ through a legal notice.
Citizens of EU member states, including Maltese, who have not resided continuously in Malta for a minimum period of five years may purchase their primary residence or any immovable property without the need for a permit. However, they do if they have not resided continuously in Malta for a minimum period of five years and want to acquire immovable property for secondary residence purposes. Permits are also required by individuals who are not citizens of a European Member state.
But in special designated areas, there are absolutely no restrictions to acquisition.
The four Quad Business Towers cover an area of 11,200 square meters, and range from 13 to 19 storeys, organised around a central piazza.
The Quad Business Towers are being developed by the Tumas Group and the Gasan Group and were designed by architectural firm DeMicoli & Associates.
