Malta voted 3rd best place to Dive

It comes as no surprise that Malta was voted 3rd Best Place To Dive, a title that was last achieved in 2009. If you are a diver and have dove in Maltese Waters then I am sure you would agree with this vote.

Malta, Gozo and Comino are surrounded by clear blue water, hosting numerous dive sites. One may truly experience amazing shore dives and boat dives and explore what lies beneath our water line.    For more information regarding this title achieved by Malta read the article published in the Times of Malta dated 10th April, 2013.ience the best diving the Mediterranean archipelago has to offer.”

"Malta is third best place for diving"

The Times of Malta dated 10th April, 2013.

Malta has been voted the world’s third best diving destination of 2012 by readers of Diver Magazine. The results of the poll meant Malta was the top diving location in the Mediterranean, according to readers of the British publication and www.divernet.com.   Malta was first honored with the same award in 2009. The awards ceremony was held on March 23 at the main LIDS hall at Excel London during the International Dive Show.   Egypt and the Maldives took first and second place respectively.   “A surprise third place went to the islands of Malta and Gozo. The temperate Mediterranean is sometimes overlooked in our rush to get to tropical sites, but the extremely clear water and wealth of wrecks, not to mention marine life, makes it a worthy recipient,” according to www.divernet.com.   Malta Tourism Authority UK director Alex Incorvaja said: “We have taken significant steps forward to protect our Mediterranean Sea and the environment, while simultaneously enhancing the diving product, ensuring everyone can experience the best diving the Mediterranean archipelago has to offer.”
